Most people have experienced feelings of depression in response to a difficult circumstance at some point in their lives. Some occurrences of depression will be short lived, others may experience a more pervasive and on-going experience with depression that may effect your ability to be productive in areas of your life. Symptoms of depression can include:

  • Sadness
  • Hopelessness
  • Irritability
  • Tired
  • Somatic symptoms (headaches, cramps, or digestive problems)
  • Lack of motivation or interest in activities that once brought pleasure
  • Loss of appetite
  • Not being able to sleep, or sleeping too much
  • Thoughts of suicide or suicidal attempts

Together Life Source Counseling will work with you to:

  • Identify triggers, habits, and negative thought patterns that may be contributing to depression
  • Learn coping and self-care strategies to better manage feelings of depression
  • Discuss wrap around care and support to include your doctor, psychiatrist, family, support groups, and community services
  • Encourage self-compassion and patience as we work together to navigate this part of your life
