Depression
Most people have experienced feelings of depression in response to a difficult circumstance at some point in their lives. Some occurrences of depression will be short lived, others may experience a more pervasive and on-going experience with depression that may effect your ability to be productive in areas of your life. Symptoms of depression can include:
- Sadness
- Hopelessness
- Irritability
- Tired
- Somatic symptoms (headaches, cramps, or digestive problems)
- Lack of motivation or interest in activities that once brought pleasure
- Loss of appetite
- Not being able to sleep, or sleeping too much
- Thoughts of suicide or suicidal attempts

- Identify triggers, habits, and negative thought patterns that may be contributing to depression
- Learn coping and self-care strategies to better manage feelings of depression
- Discuss wrap around care and support to include your doctor, psychiatrist, family, support groups, and community services
