Mindfulness

In this busy world where there is so much to distract our attention, it is often difficult to connect with your true self, or your inner voice. Jon Kabat-Zinn, expert and developer of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), wrote that part of the Mindfulness concept is to be present for your experience as it is, rather than immediately jumping in to change it or try to force it to be different.

Life Source Counseling provides our clients the opportunity to be present and aware of their thoughts, feelings, and fears in efforts to develop familiarity and even intimacy with them. These instances can be used to rise to the occasion and step into your true power.

Using mindfulness principles, Life Source Counseling teaches clients how being present with yourself(uncomfortable feelings and all) can be a liberating opportunity to connect with your inner voice, recognize that you have the tools and the ability to walk through life’s challenges, learn from them, and be loving and nurturing to yourselves in the process.
